This large 4 foot-square painting has a multi-layered gold background with melted colored designs embedded in the liquid gold paints. A single sunflower is centered with many yellows, mauves, reds, browns and pale greens.

This painting changes dramatically through the day with various types of light. The flower contrasts with the background moderately in some lights and then drastically in the evening lights.
